Effective March 1, 2010, first-time driver’s license applicants ages 18-24 are required to complete a six-hour driving education course to get a license.
Austin Driving School will provide:
ü Convenient evening and weekend classes
ü The required Department of Public Safety written exam
ü Issuance of certificate immediately upon completion
ü Option for a free defensive driving course (for insurance discounts only)
ü All DPS applications
ü Personalized one on one courses in English and Spanish (oral test available)
Course contains information on:
ü Highway signs
ü Texas traffic laws
ü Alcohol and drug awareness
ü Distractions (such as driving while talking on a cell phone)
WHAT DO I DO AFTER I RECEIVE MY CERTIFICATE?
· Take your certificate to the Department of Public Safety
· Take the behind the wheel driving test
· Get your driver's license!
WHAT IF I NEED BEHIND THE WHEEL INSTRUCTION BEFORE I TAKE MY DRIVING TEST?
· Take your certificate to the DPS
· Apply for your Class C learner’s permit
· Call Austin Driving School for lessons!
